Welcome to 4th Grade

Welcome to our 4th grade classroom page!  We can't wait to spend the year with you.  4th grade is a fun filled year of learning, hands-on adventures, and academic growth.  Highlights of the year include: making dough maps of Nebraska, decorating Nebraska birthday cakes to celebrate our state's birthday, spending the day on the Oregon Trail, and our annual field trip to Trails and Rails Museum.

 

I graduated from University of Nebraska at Kearney in 1999 with a degree in Elementary Education and a second endorsement in Physical Education (K-6).  I have been at Central Elementary as a 4th grade teacher since 1999.  I also graduated with a Master's Degree in Educational Administration in 2010 from UNK.

 

Throughout the school day, your child will receive instruction from both myself and Mrs. Saulsbury.  I am responsible for teaching reading, writing, and social studies, while Mrs. Saulsbury teaches math and science.

9:45-10:45 Language Arts (Spelling/Writing/Grammar)

10:50-11:55 Specials (PE, Art, Music, Media, Counselor)

12:00-12:40 Lunch

12:45-2:15 Reading/Math

2:15-3:15 Science/Social Studies

3:15-3:30 Planners and dismissal
