Welcome to Second Grade!!!

My name is Tara Abdallah.  I went to school in Gibbon, NE, graduated from UNK with my degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Development in Dec. of 2004.  Right after graduating from UNK, I took my first teaching job in Dodge City, KS.  I spent 4 years down there, giving me the opportunity to get another endorsement from Newman University in English Language Learning. I then came back to teach here in Kearney at Central Elementary. I have been here at Central Elementary for 12 years!  I started in Kindergarten, then First grade and now Second grade and I love it!! Second grade is where it's at!!!  My favorite part of teaching is watching kids learn and comprehend new skills.  They may work on a skill for a month and all of the sudden that lightbulb turns on and their face lights up because they finally put all the pieces of a new skill together.  That moment, right there is why I teach.  It is the most amazing moment ever.
