Ms. Goodwin - 2nd Grade

Hello!

 

My name is Micah Goodwin. I absolutely LOVE teaching 2nd grade! It is such a fun age and I am so thankful to be here at Central! I graduated from Evangel University in Springfield, MO with a Bachelors of Science degree in Early Childhood Education. I have taught since 2013 and I have also taught for the Grand Island and North Platte Public School Districts. I received my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Doane University in 2016. 

 

I teach Math and Science for our 2nd grade students here at Central. My co-teacher, Mrs. Ehlers, teaches Reading and Social Studies. I am fully behind the KPS "be kind" motto. I believe in helping students become the best version of themselves with not only achieving highly in academics, but also learning how to be respectful and responsible citizens. I want my students to know that they matter in this life and that they will succeed! I want them to learn and grow and be the best person they can be while helping to make this world a better place! 

 

I love being with my friends and family. I enjoy being outside going on walks, bike rides, kayaking, playing tennis, and pickleball. I am an avid Target shopper and Starbucks lover! :)
